7 Things Lucha Underground Got Wrong In Season 2

2. That Pentagon Jr./Vampiro Thing Was Cool So Let's Do It All Over Again!

Pentagon Jr. has been the breakout star of Lucha Underground. He wasn't exactly the focus of season one, but his tendency to break arms for his dark master made for a strangely engaging and popular professional wrestling character. When he broke the arm of then-champion Mil Muertes in the first episode of season two, Pentagon Jr. seemed set for big things.

Instead, what we got was a total of seven Pentagon Jr. matches in the entire season, and not a sign of him in between the ropes between episodes 10 and 21. We saw a decent amount of Pentagon Jr. however, except he seemed to be locked in Vampiro's sex dungeon.

He returned to challenge Matanza at Ultima Lucha Dos and lost once again, and season two ended with Pentagon Jr. laying waste to Vampiro and claiming that he was the master now. It was as if the creators of the show realised that Pentagon's hardcore war with Vampiro was the highlight of season one, so let's keep those two together.

Pentagon's journey in season two has been underwhelming and disappointing to say the least. He's the most popular guy on the show, but Lucha Underground is toeing a thin line with wasting that momentum and popularity.
