7 Things That Must Happen At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II

4. A Painful Night For Both Tag Teams

The Revival will defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa at the show, and if their live event bouts are anything to go by we could be in for something special. The tag matches have repeatedly been reported as being the highlight of the shows, and with performers of this ability it is easy to understand why.

Even so, it may not be a bad idea for another team to make their presence felt in this match. The Authors of Pain have been running roughshod over fools for weeks now, yet find themselves missing from the card. Of course, the nature of their matches means that a two-minute squash against Greg Gresky and Arthur Hammington Jr. isn't out of the question, but why not do something more?

The Authors of Pain need a reason for trucking all these chumps, and championship gold is what pro wrestling is built around. Have the two big dudes interrupt the tag title match and absolutely decimate both teams. That gives you an out for Gargano & Ciampa, as well as plenty of directions for the titles to go in following the show.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
