7 Things That Must Happen At WWE Extreme Rules 2017
1. Bray Wyatt Must Win The Fatal 5-Way Match
Wait, hear me out.
Four of the five participants in the main event make for attractive number one contender prospects. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are RAW's two top dogs, Finn Bálor never actually lost the WWE Universal Championship, and Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar is a true dream match waiting to happen.
Despite all of this, Bray Wyatt is the best option to win the main event on Sunday night. The winner will receive a championship match at WWE Great Balls of Fire, with the likelihood being that it'll be a one-and-done championship shot in order to get Lesnar to SummerSlam, where Braun Strowman is waiting. Bray is the best bet for that spot.
Bray and Brock also have unfinished business stemming from early 2016, and The Eater of Worlds desperately needs a feud where he is given the chance to shine. Lesnar's prolonged absence may well do that, as the feud will be built on promo exchanges between Wyatt and Heyman. The idea of those alone is enough to pique interest in a match between The Beast Incarnate and The New Face of Fear.
The other four men will get their chances on bigger stages further down the line - this may well represent Wyatt's last chance for a while. Bray has had a rollercoaster of a 2017 so far, and a big win on Sunday night could be just what the doctor ordered. It will be a shock if Bray comes out on top, but it is best for everyone involved if he does.
