4. John Cena Must Regain The United States Championship

I never thought I would be typing this, but here we go.

John Cena simply has to beat Seth Rollins for the United States title on Sunday. The novelty of seeing Rollins with two belts was interesting initially, but there simply is no need in this day and age for an individual to hold more than one title, especially the top champion in the company.

Whilst the US title is draped over the shoulder of The Architect, it is going to be waste away and lose all the credibility that Cena, to his credit, helped to build in the months following WrestleMania.

The United States Open Challenge was routinely one of the top parts of each episode of RAW. Not only did it increase the prestige of the belt, but it gave midcard guys such as Stardust and Zack Ryder a chance to do what brought them to the dance and look credible in the process.

The natural end of the challenge would have been someone rising up from the middle of the card to defeat Cena on a big stage. Unfortunately, WWE booked themselves into a corner with the Champion vs. Champion match at SummerSlam, and must now press the rewind button in order to salvage the US belt.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
