7 Things We Learned From The Evolution Of CM Punk Final Episode
6. Gall Is A Legit, Hungry Fighter
Speaking of cans - Gall isn't one. If we didn't know that from his record - a handful of wins as an amateur, and two wins since going pro - then we learn it in this final episode of The Evolution of Punk. In fact, his UFC fight might have been his weakest competition. Punk has quite the challenge ahead of him.
Further evidence? Well, we get to see who Gall is training with, and it's some legit talent, including UFC fan favorite Jim Miller. Miller, who has been fighting in the UFC since 2008, is one of the most rugged submission fighters in the lightweight division, and is known for entertaining fights. His first bout with Joe Lauzon in 2012 was a Fight of the Night classic, and their second meeting just last month was awarded Fight of the Night as well.
In short, just like Punk, Gall has a strong team around him. And he's a hungry fighter. He's young, training hard, and appears to be focused, not looking past the fight, and focusing on his opponent. As he says it, "If they brought me in to get beat by CM Punk, if they thought they were gonna bring in a pushover, then they really f*cked up. There's no way he can hang with me".
