7 Things We Learned From WWE Chronicle: Roman Reigns

4. The Side Effects Of His Treatment

Roman Reigns Vince McMahon Chronicle

Although Reigns was fortunate to avoid the gruelling process of either intravenous chemotherapy or radiotherapy thanks to the miracle pill, his treatment was not without its side effects.

Whilst working to eradicate the body of cancerous blood cells, oral chemotherapy unavoidably affects healthy cells as well. According to the American Cancer Society, though side effects vary dependent on the type of drug and the person, people taking the treatment are prone to suffer from nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, hair loss, changes to the skin, low blood counts, and mouth sores.

Roman noted that in his case, he'd been afflicted by arthritis gradually progressing from his feet all the way up to his hips - but that he'd take that any day over the rigours of radiotherapy.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
