WWE raked in $151.7 million from live event ticket sales in 2017. That number doesn't take into account the profits from merchandise sales at these shows.

On live event merch alone, $23.8 million went through company tills. Though that's down from 2016's $24.2 million, it still shows signs that fans are willing to dip into their pockets when attending WWE live events. There's also a sense from the report that WWE's online sales team deserve some sort of bonus for their hard work.

The gap between money made from web-based sales via WWEShop and profits on the merch stalls at house shows has increased slightly since last year. In 2016, the gap between them was $10.4 million ($24.2 million online compared to $34.6 million in person). Last year, WWE made $37.8 million from WWEShop and $23.8 million on merchandise at shows. That's a difference of $14 million in total, signifying that those working on the web are doing something right.
