TNA get (got?) a lot of things wrong, but you have to give them credit for giving their talent the opportunity to run with titles when other companies may have been less willing to do so. A number of performers left WWE and were able to break through ceilings in TNA, and whilst this became something of a running joke I don't think anyone will begrudge the success enjoyed by men such as Christian, EC3, and Lashley.

A number of individuals won their first world championships in TNA. These include the man above, as well as Bobby Roode, Chris Sabin, Eric Young, Magnus, and others. The current TNA World Heavyweight Champion is Eddie Edwards, and whilst it isn't his first such title (he is a former ROH World Champion), it still represents a major accolade for the supposed undersized star.

This moves further into the secondary titles, with the history of the X-Division littered with deserved champions. The same goes for the tag titles, the Knockouts Championship and whatever secondary title the company had at the time. Heck, Rob Terry won the Legends Championship.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
