7 Things WWE Killed Forever At Hell In A Cell 2019

6. Seth Rollins As A Main Eventer

Seth Rollins tried really f*cking hard to make HIAC’s garbage main event work. Alas, WWE expected him to make delicious lemonade from a barrel full of rancid, year-old lemons.

The man bumped, sold, and did everything in his power to put The Fiend over as a terrifying force. He can’t really act, but lord did he try. None of this can be denied. The match failing has almost nothing to do with Rollins who, like Bray Wyatt, was let down by imbecilic creative direction.

It’s therefore a huge shame that the bout could well spell the end of him as a believable main eventer.

There are few signs that WWE will actually renege on his push, though they probably should. Their ‘Beastslayer’ looks awful coming out of HIAC. It began with a drippy, overwhelmed promo in which he told Charly Caruso he wasn’t confident he could defeat The Fiend (imagine Tom Brady spouting this beta bullsh*t before a Super Bowl), then got progressively worse with every main event beat, to the point where he almost looked like a bigger clown than the guy in the twisted Joker mask. He’ll probably try to defend it, too, given how thin-skinned his social media personality is.
