7 Things WWE Killed Forever At Hell In A Cell 2019

2. The Town

Imagine being in that crowd last night.

Imagine being one of the thousands upon thousands of Sacramento wrestling fans that not only chanted “AEW,” “bullsh*t,” “restart the match,” and “refunds” at what transpired, but also stuck around after the show to keep voicing that displeasure.

Imagine screaming yourself hoarse.

Imagine being this guy, lobbing volleys of discontent over a squad of referees and towards Seth Rollins.

Imagine doing all over this after giving WWE upwards of $50 of your money to be there.

WWE killed the town last night. They didn’t just give that live crowd a reason to boo HIAC into oblivion, but took a big, steaming dump into their open mouths, then likely laughed about it backstage. Vince McMahon might argue that this is “such good sh*t, pal.” How does this guy keep getting away with treating his paying customers so disdainfully?

Why would anyone in that building even consider buying a ticket the next time WWE roll through down? “They’ll always come back,” is a common rebuttal, even though year-to-year ratings trends show that such fans are tuning out for good. This company’s audience has almost halved since 2014, and there’s a reason they no longer report Network subscription numbers during quarterly earnings calls.
