7 Things WWE Did Right At NXT Takeover 2: Fatal 4-Way

7. Dominant Wins By Corbin And Dempsey Send A Message

Baron Corbin has been repackaged as a new character that wears black and looks like a badass. It's not that unique to wrestling, but it's different for him. They said during the broadcast that it was official NXT debut although that wasn't true. It's wrestling. They lie. He faced off with CJ Parker and beat him in under 30 seconds. Corbin's billed at 6'8" and around 275 pounds, so it looks like he's going to receive a push. Later in the show, Bull Dempsey took on Mojo Rawley. Dempsey has been on the receiving end of a push in recent weeks as a near 300 pounder that wrestles like an old school brawler. He also looks old school as well. He took on Mojo Rawley. The result of the match was a dominant win for Dempsey that lasted just over one minute. Dempsey won with a flying headbutt off the top rope, which isn't a great finishing move although it looked good when he did it. Even after he won, he did the headbutt again. It's a smart move to have guys like Corbin and Dempsey win in dominant fashion because it will make people really notice them. If you can stand out from the pack and be different you can be successful. Both guys have a chance to be future NXT Champions.
