7 Times John Cena Was A Terrible Human

1. AJ Lee, Dolph Ziggler And Whatever This Was

Oh lord, where to start.

2012 was coming to an end, and Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee decided to give a New Year's Toast. Big E (Langston) stood guard, and when watching the clip I'm a little sad that this trio still isn't a thing. The toast is interrupted by our hero of course, and everything goes horrifically downhill from there.

The first thing John does is head to what he knows best; misogyny. He chastises AJ for having the temerity to be with a number of guys (including himself), adding to his impressive resume of slut-shaming. He then goes through the motions with his college-humour photoshop jobbies on the TitanTron (including a little more slut-shaming). Ziggler provides the only bit of truth in the segment by referring to Cena as a 'man-child' (he is the heel after all). Cena then talks about how 2012 was the worst year of his career, despite defeating Brock Lesnar, winning Superstar of the Year and continually beating Ziggler. Of course, he has to slip in one more quip about AJ Lee, a reference to Hustle//Loyalty//Respect and then yes, this happens.

Yep, John Cena drops what is supposed to be, erm, poop, on Dolph Ziggler and AJ Lee. In a segment where he displayed his misogyny, his entitlement, his childish humour, his remedial image-editing skills and more, John Cena reminded us that he may be the greatest hero in the history of the WWE, but good god is he an awful human sometimes.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
