7 Times John Cena Was A Terrible Human

2. Lana, Rusev And Hypocrisy

John Cena makes all of the decisions in WWE, don't doubt that. Back in the Spring of this year, Cena was the man who would decide whether to bring The Authority back to television and he decided to do so when Seth Rollins and co threatened to curb stomp Cena's former blood rival Edge into oblivion. Cena obviously talked about how horrendous it was to endanger the livelihood of another just to get what you want, a point which is fair and true.

Which makes it all the harder to swallow that just a few weeks later Cena was resorting to the same tactics in order to get himself what he wanted, a US title shot at WrestleMania against WWE's biggest secret babyface, Rusev. Rusev had defeated Cena already, so the only way Johnny Boy was getting back into this picture was by Rusev's admission. On one episode of RAW, Rusev had just come out of a tough win against Curtis Axel (note: it wasn't tough) before Cena came out and blindsided him, attacking him and locking in the STF. He then threatens to choke Rusev into unconsciousness unless he accepts the Mania match, which of course Rusev's then manager/girlfriend Lana does because of course.

So, to simplify this whole thing, John Cena got what he wanted through bullying. The man who is the poster boy for an anti-bullying campaign got his wish by physical assaulting a man who had already defeated him, he got his wish by choking a dude out repeatedly. Rise above hate John, rise above hate.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
