Despite a rocky start in the third season of NXT, by 2013 Kaitlyn has made such vast improvements in the wrestling world that she found herself the Divas Champion, and the distinction was very much deserved. A feud with ex-Chickbuster chum AJ Lee was inevitable, but Kaitlyn had to deal a secret admirer first.

Speculation was rife as to who was sending Kaitlyn gifts, with Cody Rhodes the most likely potential beau. The big reveal came, and rather than Cody (or Hornswoggle, who usually gets the reveal stories) it was none other than AJ Lee's bodyguard, Big E.

The former Mr. Langston headed to the ring, only for the whole thing to be exposed as a ruse by the dastardly AJ, a mind game ahead of their forthcoming title match at Payback.

I'm sure there's a modicum of irony in there somewhere, but Kaitlyn never did get that payback. AJ defeated her for the title at the PPV, and Kaitlyn was unsuccessful in every subsequent challenge.

She would finish the feud victorious, but this was in a mixed tag match with Dolph Ziggler against AJ and the man who broke her heart, Big E.

Just a few months later, Kaitlyn lost her final match in WWE. Her opponent? AJ Lee of course.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
