7 Times Vince McMahon Thought WrestleMania Sucked

Vince doesn't really like tournaments.

Bruce Prichard has told on his podcast how McMahon would disregard them as boring, which only makes it stranger that he'd agree to create King Of The Ring or host one at WrestleMania IV. There, before future political "favourite" Donald Trump, Vince put on a tourney less entertaining than that word in quotation marks.

The entire thing bored Vince to tears, according to Bruce. No bloody wonder. Of the 16 matches on the card (yep, WWE were stuffing 'Mania even then), 11 spots were taken by the tournament to crown a new WWF Champion, and only really one of those matches were any good. That'd be the final between Ted DiBiase and Randy Savage.

It was an experiment the company wouldn't repeat. McMahon thought it was sh*t, sucked the life out of WrestleMania and viewed it only as a necessary evil that'd help transition from Hulk Hogan to fellow babyface Savage as champ.
