Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt should have felt like a much more monumental rivalry than it did. At one point a few years ago, they were primed to be the pillars of the future. But due to WWE's horrible mishandling of their characters, neither of them have gotten over in their respective roles the way officials would have hoped.

Their bout at Battleground 2015 was largely a bore, making it painfully apparent more elements needed to be added to the mix in order for the feud to be interesting. Wyatt reunited with Luke Harper while Reigns recruited longtime friend Dean Ambrose. Although Ambrose has always been a bigger fan favorite than Reigns, it appeared he was on the verge of turning on Reigns in their tag team match versus The Wyatt Family at SummerSlam.

Thankfully, that didn't happen, but the alternative with Reigns turning on Ambrose didn't, either. Reigns was going to get booed in Brooklyn, regardless, but betraying his Shield stablemate in front of a hostile crowd would have been the perfect way to kick off his overdue heel run. Apparently, officials had other ideas.

With no heel turn from either guy, it was just a standard tag team match, and thus there wasn't anything too exciting about it.
