7 Times WWE Could Have Turned Roman Reigns Heel

4. WrestleMania 32 Vs. Triple H

Similar to the year prior, fans wanted nothing more than to see Roman Reigns turn heel at WrestleMania 32. Compared to the rest of the star-studded card, Reigns vs. Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship wasn't a compelling main event in the slightest. WWE wouldn't close out their grandest event of the year by having the most despised babyface in the company win the top title, right?

There had to be some sort of hook, and the most obvious scenario would have seen Reigns go rogue. The possibilities were endless: a double turn could have been executed, he could have been in cahoots with Mr. McMahon the entire time, he could have betrayed his cousin The Rock. Something, anything!

Fans assumed everything but the most predictable outcome, but ultimately, that was what WWE went with. After disposing of Stephanie McMahon, Reigns soundly defeated The Game to clinch his third WWE title in four months. The title change was met with a chorus of boos from AT&T Stadium, and as the screen faded to black, fans were disappointed by the lack of "swerve," specifically a Reigns heel turn.

Needless to say, Reigns remaining face and winning back the belt ended a rather entertaining event on an extremely anticlimactic note.
