7 Times WWE Had Mixed Gender Tag Matches at WrestleMania
2. John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Snooki Vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool (WrestleMania XXVII)
The Jersey Shore was a fairly innocuous reality show about some young, dumb Italian-American people having fun at the beach. However, culture, for whatever reason, decided to blow it up into this behemoth that made the main cast an inescapable presence. Needless to say, people weren't happy about it, and in the early 2010s, the main cast were seen as low-brow cultural pariahs.
But darn it, they were popular cultural pariahs, so WWE was going to utilize their star power to the fullest. Teaming with Trish Stratus and John Morrison, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (the show's breakout star) took on LayCool and Dolph Ziggler in a three minute bathroom break before WrestleMania XXVII's main event.
Like The Jersey Shore, this match was an innocuous, if pointless, distraction. Trish and Michelle did the majority of work, with Layla, Snooki, Dolph, and Morrison having a single spot each in the entire 3 minute contest. Granted, it was complete waste of Ziggler and Morrison on a show that would have benefited greatly from a singles match between the two. But compared to other matches on this list, it's hardly the most offensive thing.
