SmackDown has been pure WWE joy over the past few weeks.

People can point to Raw's third hour as an excuse for the so-called flagship all they want, but it's more than that. Unlike Mondays, Friday night's team have storylines with pacing, little nuances just begging to be explored on the side, stunning matches that could easily show up on pay-per-view without complaint - it's just been a super production all-round recently.

Add in a hot New York and it was always going to be special. The Madison Square Garden masses didn't disappoint here either. They were up for it, and WWE treated them to some memorable moments that'll pop up on 'Best Of' lists come the end of 2021. That, ladies and gents, might make this one of the greatest SmackDowns ever.

High praise indeed.

There were no 'Downs'. Nope, not even one. It was honestly hard to dislike anything that WWE put on. Even the filler, which would usually cause one to roll their eyes, worked out well. Those looking for negativity will have to go someplace else. There's none here...
