7 Ups & 1 Down For WWE NXT (Dec 9)
4. NXT's Women's Division Flexes Its Muscles
After Toni Storm revealed he reasons for turning on Ember Moon a few weeks ago - she was simply in the wrong place, at the wrong time - the former NXT UK Women's Champion made it clear her next target was the NXT Women's Championship.
However, Storm wasn't counting on her opponent from Sunday's hellacious WarGames match, and the greatest NXT Women's Champion there's ever bin, Io Shirai, popping up to assess her potential challenger and subsequently sock her right in the chops.
This kickstarted a brawl which spilled out into the CWC, with Shirai threatening to nail the cocky heel with her trademark moonsault. Storm then appeared to have escaped the dangerous situation in the nick of time, only for Moon to arrive and pay back a long awaited receipt via steel steps. The New Zealander then finally felt the wrath of the champ's moonsault.
It's unclear exactly who's next for Shirai going forward, but this brief high-octane throw-down proved that the Champion certainly isn't lacking in compelling options.
