Mickie James Deonna Purrazzo
IMPACT Wrestling

Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mickie James for the Knockouts Title is undisputedly the match for Bound For Glory. If IMPACT isn't going down this route for their 23 October pay-per-view, then they're wasting time with this angle.

Deonna ambushed Trey Miguel after he'd defeated Matthew Rehwoldt, low blowing him and putting the boots to the former Rascal. Mickie made the save in heels, ultimately resulting in a gaggle of referees and security guards doing their best to separate the two. It didn't work, of course, with the brawl culminating in James ascending to the top turnbuckle, diving onto Purrazzo, Rehwoldt, and the IMPACT officials. It's a standard spot in these sorts of segments, but regardless, it ruled.

Where, exactly, IMPACT is heading with regards to the Knockouts Title at Bound For Glory will be revealed once the company's weekend tapings have concluded. It must be this, though; so much work has gone into the story that it's now the only option they could feasibly book for 23 October. If this is the level of intensity that's maintained throughout the entire feud, it'll be a banger, too.
