7 Ups & 1 Down From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (Mar 27)

5. Complete Chaos

The New Day Harper

The full New Day line-up returned to SmackDown for the first time since Fastlane last night, having taken the past few weeks off to sell their injuries. The Bludgeon Brothers made an almighty mess of the popular trio on the pay-per-view, and they were out for revenge, with Woods and Big E battling Harper and Rowan on the midcard. Unfortunately, they were unable to put a dent in the Brothers' beefy armour.

The match fell apart after three minutes. With Harper battering Woods, Rowan went for their comedically large hammers, prompting an interference from The Usos. This saw the whole thing devolve into a brawl, which always looked likely when the match was announced prior to the event.

Though predictable, the angle was a perfectly solid way to continue this buzzing three-way rivalry ahead of WrestleMania, where SmackDown's top teams will likely have a killer match. We already know The Usos have outstanding chemistry with both duos, and the Bludgeons have looked great in their new role (corny gimmicks aside). Put some money on this as a sleeper 'Match Of The Night' pick.
