7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Dec 11)

6. A Count Out Win For All The Continents

The world needs more of Sami Zayn doing his best Big E impression. Or, was he trying to mimic 'Attitude' era relic Val Venis? Probably not, but only Sami knows for sure. What the fans know for sure is that the reigning IC Champ is always entertaining. Also, the count out win he nabbed here was the right call.

It protected E and kept the feud simmering.

WWE appear conflicted about exactly what direction they want to take with Zayn - he has issues with both Big E and Daniel Bryan right now. Oh well, he's talented enough to make that work, and the company can always script a quick Triple Threat if they're stuck. Either that or Big E will get a solo shot at TLC next week.

It's no accident that Cole and Corey Graves do some of their best work when Sami is around too. His character is easy to explain, and his matches are stuffed with little moments that beg for narrative context from the commentary team. He's a subtly brilliant part of SmackDown's product.
