7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Dec 11)

3. Champagne For Everyone!

Carmella Sasha Banks

Post-match, Carmella went all Chris Jericho to CM Punk and smashed a bottle over Sasha Banks. Thankfully, unlike AEW's finest back in 2012, she didn't slip on the liquid and cause (digital) fans to laugh. Nope - 'Mella stayed on her feet and did some giggling of her own as Banks rolled around in feigned agony from the sugar glass shot.

That angle was sweet.

It is true that they could've avoided a full-blown match altogether and just booked this as another sneak attack segment, but there is a plus side; Sasha got disqualified for laying into Carmella and ignoring the referee's cries to ease up, and that shouldn't happen again if they tack on a stipulation at TLC.

Provided these gals aren't lumped with the dreaded 'Chairs Match' gimmick, they'll be fine. Anything would be better than that. The long and short of this one is that, needlessly lengthy match aside, Carmella's beating came out well.
