5. Exactly What It Needed To Be

Something feels right about Paul Ellering being ringside for a good old-fashioned tag-team squash. It worked in the 1980s when he backed The Road Warriors, and it'll work here again in 2024 with AOP. Akam and Rezar are the perfect sort of duo for such rapid fire squish, squish, squishes.

This win was a neat way to reintroduce a wrecking ball act to any fans who might've forgotten what they're all about. Meanwhile, Karrion Kross and Scarlett stood around in the background loving every second as their own personal destruction crew ripped through some helpless enhancement workers.

Job done.

The Final Testament is an intriguing idea for sure, but it will need some serious support from creative long-term. You've got to call 'em how you see 'em though, and this squash match win elevated the stable's standing without gobbling up too much time on TV.
