7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Feb 16 - Results & Review)
4. Mr. Dependable Meets Mr. Future
Kevin Owens has lived mixed bag booking since arriving on SmackDown. He's been mired in an awful feud with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, but did pick the nose up to work magic with Logan Paul. It's also clear that WWE views KO as 'Mr. Dependable' - he's one of the most reliable on the roster.
Admittedly, Owens was the heavy favourite going into this Elimination Chamber qualifier vs. Dominik Mysterio, but y'never know with Judgment Day. It certainly wasn't out of the question that a member (not R-Truth, but a real JD member) would pop up and help Dom Dom snag the win.
Dominik has improved exponentially and is getting better all the time. He put in a good shift on Friday, then stared at the lights for Kev so the babyface could march on to Australia. This really felt like the kind of match WWE will come back to once they're ready to strap a rocket to Mysterio.
Owens will be waiting.
