7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Sep 3)

Downs...

1. Squashed Dawgs

Rick Boogs Dolph Ziggler

Just one glaring negative this week.

Honestly, it's more of a personal whinge than anything else, but this guy just cannot shake the feeling that Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are wasted weekly. Instead of being pillars of the tag-team division, which they should definitely be, 'dem Dirty Dawgs are being pushed into squash matches with Rick Boogs.

This isn't really a shot at Boogs either - he's fine as a character and has been gaining some steam lately, but...why does he need to squish tags? Someone like Shane Thorne (the ex-Slapjack is doing precisely nothing) or a local jobber would've been better for this spot than Dolph.

The most annoying thing here is that WWE will probs expect fans to swallow the Dawgs as title contenders again before the end of 2021. This company seriously need to look at how they book tag-teams who aren't in the title spotlight. It's woeful.
