7 Ups & 10 Downs From WWE Raw (Sep 27)

4. Murder Is Cool

Let’s get this straight: A show with a PG rating that once fired Daniel Bryan because he choked Justin Roberts out with a tie is now scripting promos condoning murder, correct?

Goldberg (very clearly) read a promo where he talked about Bobby Lashley attacking his son and hurting him, then pledged to hurt Lashley “real bad.” He then went a step further, saying that if he was “lucky enough, I'll even kill you.” Goldberg added that he’d enjoy it.

Just… what. Goldberg could have said he was going to hospitalize Lashley, hobble him, end his career, even just end him, but “kill?”

That was ridiculous and over the line for a show like Raw, and it was out of character for Goldberg. If WWE was going for shock value with that promo, all they succeeded in doing was reveal their desperation.
