7 Ups & 2 Downs For AEW Collision (March 2 - Results & Review)

Solid not spectacular action from AEW Collision as Revolution looms large.

This week's AEW Collision was in somewhat of an unfortunate position, trapped in a holding pattern and just existing to keep things ticking over ahead of AEW Revolution later today.

Given the looming large shadow of that PPV and with so much attention rightfully being on the final match of Sting's legendary career, Collision couldn't really do much, especially as this week's Dynamite had already done plenty to continue to set the stage for Collision.

Still, it's tough to label this week's Collision bad. A smidge bland? Absolutely. But when looking at Ups and Downs for this go-home episode, there wasn't all that much that could be fairly labelled as objectively bad. So, be prepared for an Ups and Downs full of terms like adequate, solid, and serviceable - as that is exactly what we got.

Obviously, once Revolution is out of the way and various rivalries are wrapped up, next week's Collision will hopefully feel a little more important. For now, this most recent episode was all a little safe and formulaic, as is often the case on the night before a major PPV.

As Elton John has long told us, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
