7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Feb 2)

Ups...

7. One-Sided Hammerings

Santana Ortiz
AEW

The shorter poundings were strong against last night, as Santana and Ortiz and Leyla Hirsch dominated their respective opponents with ruthless efficiency.

Santana and Ortiz ensured Fuego Del Sol (teaming with Vary Morales here) wasn't going to succeed in his quest to hit the Tornado DDT. This outing was a little longer than some of their recent matches, but still a shellacking, as the Inner Circle continue working with increasingly big chips on their shoulders in light of recent disappointments. They're feeling pretty mean right now.

Later, Hirsch was a step ahead of Katalina Perez, even in her defensive periods. Excalibur and Team Taz pushed her newfound aggression as she seized Perez's arm and made her tap to a cross armbreaker quickly, the enhancement talent submitting straight away.

Good, elevatory stuff here. The kind of squashes that always work.
