7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Feb 2)

2. Nick Comoroto and the Natural Nightmares vs. M'Badu and TNT

Natural Nightmares Nick Comoroto
AEW

Nick Comoroto was originally booked to team with the Natural Nightmares on last week's AEW Dark, though the bout was cancelled without explanation. Here, big Nick finally got his first AEW win, pinning M-Badu after a press slam.

AEW clearly has designs on making something of Comoroto. His Dynamite bout with Jon Moxley was the first sign, and this was a continuation. Opening and closing the bout, he was allowed to flex his skills with big boy power moves, draw a line in the sand by calling the biggest opponent (M'Badu) in for a fight, and getting the pin. Welcome to the winner's club.

Dustin Rhodes played face-in-peril for a while here, while Anthony Ogogo showered his trainer, QT Marshall, with praise. A clear face/heel dynamic was established as TNT and M'Badu attacked Comoroto from behind and the Nightmares on the apron early, giving us an extra splash of character.
