7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 22)

Downs...

2. Jurassic Express vs. Luther/Serpentico/Max Caster

Luchasaurus, Marko Stunt, and Jungle Boy are always fun to watch together but this bout was undermined by a mismatched heel unit that made little sense on paper and brought nothing to the table, other than the implication that Luther looks to be taking Serpentico under his wing. It lacked the energy and excitement of the average Jurassic trios clash, though it'd be tough to criticise it in stronger terms than "meh."

Luther was almost endearingly lazy here, tagging in long enough to get his sh*t in, then getting the hell out of there. AEW appears to be teasing a contest between him and Luchasaurus as Luther avoided interacting with the big man late on. Him and Serpentico bailing left Caster to be picked apart; he ate an inevitable pinfall moments later.
