7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (2 Mar)

4. Moxley Squares Up, Bryan Bails Out

Jon Moxley
AEW

Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley have delivered more incendiary promo segments than this one en route to Revolution, though their final exchange was befitting of their rivalry so far and set them off to the pay-per-view on an appropriately spiteful note.

The 'American Dragon' was deliciously obnoxious, inviting the crowd to applaud Daniels' efforts after rendering him unconscious, going as far as raising a limp arm on the veteran's behalf. Danielson's signature arm-trapped stomps were enough to draw Moxley from the back, and the former AEW World Champion fired off verbal volleys on their divergent career paths, writing his career's next chapter in blood, and more, offering Danielson to throw down there and then.

Bryan thought about it momentarily before bailing, opting to save his violence for Sunday. Rather than indulging in scraps (as has been the case for the PPV's other high-profile feuds), AEW are holding off here, preserving physical escalation for Revolution.

It's working.
