7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 5 - Results & Review)

Downs...

2. Who's The Boss?

5 6 Christopher Daniels
AEW

The Acclaimed aren't ideal short-term title challengers for the Young Bucks.

The act is barely over. They are overexposed, and Max Caster has compounded the lack of goodwill with his senseless social media conduct and raps that even for him were tasteless. Billy Gunn's parody of the veteran who won't sell hasn't remotely helped either.

The Acclaimed motioned to make their entrance, but the Young Bucks appeared on the big screen to tell them, petulantly, that their segment had been cut, Matthew Jackson sought to fill the plot hole by saying "We still have a little stroke around here".

Do they?

Because Tony Khan is back and healed and, moreover, Christopher Daniels is playing a second babyface authority figure. A wildly unnecessary authority figure: why does AEW need somebody to tell the audience that a match is happening and why, when they've not done this for five years?

Who's in charge?

And why, since the show is basically the same as it ever was, should anybody care?
