7 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (21 Oct)

1. They Just Don't Care

It's an unwritten rule in wrestling that any multi-person title match must be built towards with the participants in the match competing in a tag team encounter beforehand, hence why John Skyler and Tenille Dashwood vs. Fallah Bahh and Jordynne Grace vs. Crazzy Steve and Chelsea Green is a thing that happened last night.

None of this match clicked. It was the definition of a cluster that achieved very little. Coming away, all we got, really, was confirmation that Dashwood won't be the inaugural Digital Media Champion, seeing as she pinned Bahh. That ending sequence was a cluster in itself, with Dashwood staggering as Crazzy Steve left the ring before hitting a Spotlight Kick.

The overarching problem with this is that IMPACT Wrestling don't seem to care at all about this new championship. Its tournament didn't receive the same Twitter GIF treatment as 'canon' IMPACT programming, if you will, which is ironic given the whole purpose of the Digital Media Title. When the matches are of this calibre, it's hard to see how the championship can last while also being a success.
