7 Ups & 2 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (21 Oct)
4. Trey Gets A Taste
Alex Zayne must be a regular fixture of the X Division post-Bound For Glory as he delivered a stellar showing with Trey Miguel last night.
The two laid it all out, beginning a surprisingly technical affair that ultimately turned into the exchange flips and dives that was to be excepted from a match like this. Zayne in particular was an enigma that had to be witnessed; his standing Dragonrana was as mesmerising as it was impossible for anyone else to perform. Miguel took it wonderfully, of course, with his own offence looking spectacular, too. The Meteora he performed to win the bout looked blissfully perfect.
Though the aftermath detracted a tad from Zayne's performance, seeing as neither Steve Maclin nor Bullet Club used his lifeless body to make a statement ahead of Bound For Glory, but it worked to get its point across. El Phantasmo, Chris Bey, and Hikuleo would eventually stand tall from this.
He's also got obligations in Ring Of Honor, having won their Honor Rumble last month, but Scott D'Amore must be seeing the effort put in by the former Ari Sterling in his two IMPACT matches thus far. A contract offer wouldn't come as a surprise.
