7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 18)

Before he faces Pro Wrestling NOAH legend Naomichi Marufuji at Bound For Glory, Michael Elgin opened up this week's Impact Wrestling in victorious fashion over Fallah Bahh, who was accompanied by his apparent trainer, TJP.

While Bahh did actually get in a good chunk of offence, it was crystal clear from the beginning who was winning the bout, no matter what sort of training Bahh has been receiving from TJP. Elgin thwarted Bahh's attempt at a banzai drop with a club to the back, followed by the Elgin Bomb. This wasn't all though, as Elgin ambushed TJP following the bout, delivering a DDT on the exposed wooden floors before targeting his neck with a steel chair.

This was an excellent encounter, something that you don't always expect from Fallah Bahh. The guy can sometimes pull out a banger, it's just a shame this can't happen more often. That's not the important thing here though - the key thing to note is Michael Elgin sending a vicious message to Marufuji ahead of the 20 October pay-per-view.

Not only a great match, but also a decent way of building towards the Elgin/Marufuji bout. It's a win-win situation.
