7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 1)

1. Point Proven

It's a real shame that just one week after his fantastic showing opposite Eddie Edwards, Rob Van Dam is back to his old tricks once more, relying on constant distractions from the world's worst actress Katie Forbes to get one over on Sami Callihan.

The worst part? It didn't even work in the end, seeing as 'The Draw' won the bout with a rollup reversal.

Throughout the match, Forbes proved to be a major distraction for the former oVe member, including straight up tripping him on the ring apron in full view of referee Brandon Tolle. Why she wasn't ejected from ringside then and there boggles the mind. Granted, the post-match ambush with an assist from a steel chair was alright, and RVD still looks somewhat great in the ring (cc: Rolling Thunder and apron corkscrew legdrop), but it wasn't nearly enough to make this segment in any better.

All things considered, it looks as if this rivalry will be continuing, so there's still hope for things to turn around sooner than you think. A match at Bound For Glory looks all but confirmed at this stage. Add on a weapons-based stipulation, and you could have a decent match. As for now? It's anything but.
