7 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT UK (Oct 24)

Ups...

7. The Buzzsaw Speaks

There isn't much to say on Travis Banks' promo. In a short, backstage segment, 'The Kiwi Buzzsaw' spoke about his martial arts background, his goals in WWE NXT, and the Coffey Brothers, who attacked him during the last UK Championship Tournament at the Royal Albert Hall.

It was a fine little introduction to one of the British scene's most important players, and a guy who'll likely become a fixture on this show as well. In very little time, WWE made sure you understood who Banks is, why he's worth caring about, and set him off on a new programme, with burly Scots Joe and Mark in his sights.

This could now lead to a tag angle involving Mark Andrews, who was flattened by Joe on NXT UK's first show, but it'll be interesting to see what happens next regardless. Smart, simple storytelling rules.
