7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (31 May - Results & Review)

Ups...

7. Keeping Queen In The Chat

It's a smart move to keep Nia Jax in the conversation. She'll be Bayley's chief enemy come SummerSlam, after all, and Nia recently won Queen Of The Ring over in Saudi Arabia. Seeing Jax kick off SmackDown with another coronation that was then interrupted by Clash At The Castle business? That's clever booking.

Nia got to reiterate that she'll be waiting for whomever the Women's Champion is coming out of Clash. It doesn't matter to her if it's Bayley, Piper or Chelsea. This is exactly the kind of confidence Jax needed to carry coming out of King And Queen Of The Ring. She's on top of her game right now.

Long may it continue.

WWE didn't try anything elaborate here - they kept things simple (another plus), and had Nia lurk over the entire women's division like a dark cloud ready to rain down on them. That'll only accelerate the closer we get to SummerSlam and the big showdown vs. Bayley.
