7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 19 - Results & Review)
3. Solo Sikoa Making Moves
This writer loved, loved, loved the way Solo Sikoa tried to take matters into his own hands by running in on AJ Styles vs. LA Knight and spiking both guys. That was a cool way to feed into Solo's coming match vs. Randy Orton, and it enabled two top babyfaces to avoid taking a pin on TV.
Very deft, WWE.
The contrast between Sikoa and his brother Jimmy Uso as characters is clear for all to see. Jimmy is a bit of a clown who struggles to take anything seriously these days, and that lands The Bloodline in perpetual trouble whenever Roman Reigns isn't around to clean up the mess. Meanwhile, Solo is all business but getting annoyed by all the failure.
Orton might've beaten Solo in a short match right at the end of SmackDown, but the veteran did make Sikoa look like a threat before doing so. It's the little things. Randy's general body language sold the idea that Solo is someone even WWE's tippy top stars can't afford to take lightly, for example.
