7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (1 Sep)

2. An Overlong Rivalry

Extended far beyond its natural point is Orange Cassidy and Best Friends vs. Hardy Family Office, which has been trundling along to minimal returns for weeks now. At least All Out's 10-man tag should mean the end of a rivalry that has already been squeezed dry.

Cassidy and Jack Evans worked an awkward match on Dynamite. Lacking in fluidity while the heel was in control, it came to life through Orange's comebacks but rarely for a prolonged period, as Freshly Squeezed fought back from Matt Hardy jumping him before the bell, resulting in Bryce sending away.

A supplemental Up, at least, for the decision to end this during the picture-in-picture break. This was overdue. AEW needed to establish that important things can happen during these spells to stop the viewers' attention from drifting, which was accomplished here. A precedent has now been set.
