7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (6 March - Review)

2. Killswitch Vs Daddy Magic

Killswitch Daddy Magic
AEW

Matt Menard was squashed by Killswitch in an attempt to build a bridge between Daniel Garcia’s loss to Christian Cage at Revolution and Adam Copeland getting one more shot at the TNT Championship. It didn’t work.

Working backwards, Copeland’s “I Quit” challenge failed to inspire after the former “brothers” threw just about everything at each other in their last match. He was on the scene to help Daniel Garcia who helped Menard, but that begged the question of where he was when Garcia needed him most and the Cage stood to lose his gold. The contest beforehand was anything but even, which was also odd considering that ‘Daddy Magic’ was cast to run the heels off during the pay-per-view.

Such is the churn of weekly episodic television that so much of this felt over-familiar to the point of being a little stale. All of these wrestlers could do with...moving onto other wrestlers. With Cope throwing out the last challenge for March 20th, maybe that time is finally on the horizon.
