7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Anniversary Edition (Oct 14)

Ups...

7. Waxing & Relaxing

Tony Schiavone
AEW

It speaks volumes to just how great Britt Baker is at her job that she was able to elevate a segment that revolved largely around Tony Schiavone getting his chest waxed and prevent it from becoming a shambles. Such is the good doctor in 2020: she's one of the best characters in wrestling, and lifting material like this is one of the reasons why.

Presenting her fifth rule for being a 'Role Model' ("be the baddest b*tch on the planet"), Britt negged the beloved announcer throughout, whether peeling hair from his chest or making him cover up while getting a foot massage. She put her comeback over as the biggest in sports history and ripped Tony for not being here. The announcer's response, amusingly, was "I got superkicked in the face!"

Schiavone is the perfect guy to use in this role as he's such a lovely, well-liked guy for Baker's obnoxious heel persona to bounce off. She's back on the upswing now, ready to a take a seat near the top of the division, and it'll be fun to see the comeback continue next week.
