7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage: New Year's Smash (Dec 30)

Jon Moxley Promo
AEW

Sure, Jon Moxley used wrestling's favourite word ever by describing Hangman Page as a "bitch", but this was a solid promo from him nonetheless. Honestly, it's sweet to see Rampage being used for moments like this rather than stuffing them all on Dynamite and starving the 'B' show out.

Hyping up some marquee bouts should be part of the show's weekly format. This is a continuation of the flagship, not some crummy standalone that seems to exist in its own little world sometimes. Sadly, nobody seemed to tell Tony Khan that for much of 2022.

Shoots of recovery with this Mox vs. Hangman stuff though.

They've been brawling all over Rampage throughout December, and now they've got a big clash booked for 11 January. Suggestion: Tony should genuinely think about shifting that to Rampage the same week and hyping the t*ts out of it so people have to tune in.
