7 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Feb 25)
3. Bills, Bills, Bills
Bill Goldberg cut through The Fiend Bray Wyatt on Friday's SmackDown was f*cking brilliant, not least because it cut through the facade of Wyatt's flagging character entirely.
Big Bill wasn't scared because he'd been given nothing to be afraid of, nor was he rattled by the looming presence behind him as the lights went out. He's still 'Da Man' and he's the man to regain the Universal Championship.
"As much as I would like to see Goldberg take the title from The Fiend, I think [he's] got too much value right now.." was Mark Henry's resigned take, and the rest of the crew noted that it probably had to be Bray.
A fairly sizeable section of the fanbase would probably be livid if WWE actually made the last minute change so close to WrestleMania...but they've not been shy of making divisive decisions before.
