7 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Mar 22)
3. Tessa's Fired Up
Tessa Blanchard’s backstage promo on this episode was phenomenal. She stated that she’s been in contact with her lawyers and demanded Gail Kim to apologise to her for her actions, and then relinquish her role as an Impact producer. Outstanding stuff.
Blanchard is 100% in the right here. Ever since January at the Homecoming pay-per-view, Tessa and Gail have been going back and forth, usually due to Gail preventing Tessa from using underhanded means to get the victory. The heel is in the right in this rivalry, and that’s a rarity in wrestling these days.
It’s one of the better booked Impact stories right now. Every second of the rivalry has left you wondering what will happen next, as opposed to a typical Impact storyline as of late leaving you wanting less. Right now, it just has to culminate with at least one singles contest between the pair. Imagine if it didn’t. Pitchforks would be heading for Impact headquarters.
