7 Ups & 3 Downs From UFC 247

2. Vulnerable Jones?

We don't want to take away from Dominick Reyes, who had a brilliant gameplan going into the fight with Jon Jones and, in the eyes of many, actually defeated the champion at UFC 247. However, doesn't it seem like Bones isn't the same fighter he used to be?

There was a lot of talk during the pre-fight hype about how he's had a decade of dominance inside the Octagon, but the Jon Jones who truly destroyed his opponents was able to do exactly what he wanted with them, at any point during their match up. That certainly hasn't been the case in Bones' last fight or this one with Reyes.

The skills are still there and he proved that he can take a punch, but he didn't seem to be quite on his game tonight. Whether there was an injury prior to fight, lack of motivation to fight someone most believed he'd beat or if father time is slowly creeping up on him, Jones did not look like the unbeatable champion we all once strongly believed he was.
