7. Sami Zayn Moves On
It looks like that's a wrap on Sami Zayn trying to convince Otis, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa that they're worth more than being verbal punching bags for Chad Gable. Sami has done his bit for that story, so now he's marching onto something else: A workhorse champion-style gauntlet of Intercontinental Title challengers.
On Raw, Zayn worked a fairly formulaic revolving door promo segment with Bron Breakker and Sheamus. Formulaic doesn't necessarily mean bad. The quality of Sami as a likeable babyface helped things along, and Breaker is undeniably one of the most exciting main roster newcomers in years. This could be worth watching.
Zayn vs. Breakker will be special if Sami makes Bron by dropping the IC belt to him over the summer. Chuck Sheamus into the mix as an old warhorse veteran who's choking to hold that prize for the first time in his career and you've already got fun moving parts to work with.
Again, formulaic, but formulaic in an enjoyable way.
