7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (9 Sept - Results & Review)
1. A Chaotic Conclusion To The Feud
Regardless of your preferences, the Wyatt Sick6 has been an objective success on Raw so far. They’ve overcome a debut that could have pigeonholed them, outlasted what might have been termed “polite applause” due to the Bray Wyatt tragedy, and delivered in the ring multiple times.
Monday, the Wyatts had another really good night in the ring, tangling with American Made in an eight-person street fight that saw all types of plunder brought into the mix. Erick Rowan got to play the role of a hulking big man (who else can rip apart the barricade and use it as a weapon?) while Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis flew around the ring and ate some rough shots from the Creed Brothers and Chad Gable. Nikki Cross and Ivy Nile had their own little battles, but they managed to mix it up with the men a few times, including Cross German-suplexing Gable.
The craziness finally ended with Lumis pinning Gable to effectively end their months-long feud. One small, nitpicking negative though: although anything goes in a street fight, Uncle Howdy had to get involved to give the Wyatts the edge, despite the group being the babyfaces and Gable’s crew not doing anything more egregious than their opponents.
For American Made, it’s an opportunity to turn the page and become a serious heel stable, knowing they did their best to make the Wyatts look great at every turn. For the Wyatt Sick6, this is where the real test will begin. How will they function within the normal WWE world? Or will they? Will they instead pull other acts into their vortex separate from the Raw universe? Can anyone see Howdy just chatting backstage with Sheamus? This will be an interesting test going forward.
